Stonyfold farm, a small grass farm rearing cattle and sheep, is managed under Higher Level Stewardship to encourage farmland birds and to provide educational farm access. The Outbarn, belonging to Stonyfold farm, sits separately among a cluster of stone built properties, once two small farms, known as Barnsfold. These buildings, have history dating back more than 500 years.

The Outbarn, having been newly restored, provides a rural classroom/wet weather room including toilets, wash facilities and parking all together with disabled access. Primarily, this facility is for the use of schools and youth organisations that wish to introduce and educate young people to the countryside, it’s wildlife and local farming practice.
